There a pink one and a purple one......

Very exciting news! The studio gate latch clicked, the doorbell rang and once again another package! This time from Paris, France! Wow.
Mireille Eyermann has sent DownUnder to Australia a pink and purple zebra. Exquisitely cut from stained glass, the detail is beyond perfect!
Thank you Mireille!

The pink and purple zebras will look wonderful as we also have a pink dolpin! Colour is everything. I have written to Australia Zoo and I am waiting to hear from them to visit and decide the location at the zoo. Hopefully, it won't be long now before I can start planning the design. At the moment all the mosaics are under wraps in my stash room and it certainly is an impressive stack of mosaic art!

I wonder whether it might be the first mosaic mural on this scale to be done with mosaics donated from mosaic artists and mosaic friends around the world? We certainly have most creatures great and small and we will be making many, many mosaics here and will blend it all together.

It seems incredible that so many people are so passionate about their art and they are so generous....what with the materials, time and postage it is a really gift of art from the heart.

Many mosaics are still winging their way here and anyone else who would like to contribute and can do their mosaic in the next month, please email me. I can squeeze you in if I know what you are sending.

So the mosaics are all resting and waiting in the wings whilst my mind runs wild with ideas. My dreams are full of this mosaic, and whilst I work on my big current projects and run the workshops it's very inspiring. As soon as I have finished my current work, I will list all the mosaics and list all contributors on a thank you web page.

I think Steve would be very proud and I am sure he is watching over this mural. If it brings a little more joy to the Irwin family and happines when they see this mural, it's all worthwhile.

Ouch, in my excitement to open the studio door, I banged my hand on the door lock; nice bruise! I am tired from cleaning and scraping all my tools this afternoon.....I am so messy sometimes when I workd fast and hard. I pay for it by having to scrub them all! Will I ever learn?

Cheers
